I’ll start off by saying that I am the (self-proclaimed) Yo-Yo Queen! My weight has always fluctuated, but it never went past a certain threshold because I always managed to “get myself together”. My health took a backseat to my personal struggles, and when I took the picture on the left, the Yo-Yo Queen gained almost 25 pounds in less than a year! That’s when I knew that I needed to get myself together AGAIN!
I initially tried to work out in my home gym and the gym at my job, but I was still not completely motivated. I felt like I was in a rut. I had been to a few Shred415 classes a year prior, and I remembered how much I loved class so I decided to give it another try. This is when it clicked for me! I fell in love with the classes! The studio environment is super encouraging and it’s like everyone is a family. I now go to class about 4-5 days a week. Eight months after re-starting classes, I am still obsessed with Shred415, and I am officially down 30 pounds!
I absolutely could not have done this without the incredible instructors and supportive community at Shred415. My motto during this journey has been “It is never too late to start over, even if you find yourself doing it again and again…and again.” I work daily at taking care of myself because I would LOVE to no longer be the Yo-Yo Queen – instead I’ll be the Shred415 Queen!
