I have taken 50+ Shred415 classes & have lost 70 pounds.
I’ve always been a big guy. I used to be so active; I’d play any sport and caddied during the summers during high school and through my 20s. I had zero self-discipline and had a horrible diet, yet maintained a decent physique due to my high activity.
I finally stopped caddying during my summers, and over the years I started to put on weight. From ages 25-31 I battled the bulge constantly. I was a solid 225 lbs. until I was 25, and by 28, I was carrying around 270 lbs.
Then at age 31, I was 293 lbs. I decided it was time for a change, so I started to work out (weights only, no cardio) but my diet consisted of soup and cereal. I lost a ton of weight between February and December (when I had a big trip planned), getting down to 245 lbs.
I looked better, but once I took my trip, I went straight back to bad habits. I quit working out. I lived to eat.
Over the next three years, I destroyed my body. It was so easy to be lazy. My wife was begging me to do something—she knew how unhappy I was.
At this point, I’m 215 lbs. My clothes kept going up in size. I was creeping up to a 44 waist.
Which brings us here. In August 2016, I said “Yes” to one class at Shred415 with my wife. I had no idea this would be the start of my fight for who I want to be and what I truly want to look like.
One class became six in seven days. I kept pushing and tried to get to Shred415 every day. I started getting my diet in check. Not a crazy diet, but I did cut out sweets and limit my bread.
I have taken 50+ Shred415 classes and have lost 70 pounds. I’m in the absolute best shape of my life—and it started by saying “Yes” to just one class.
