I have lost 25 pounds and gained more muscle.
I moved to Indianapolis about three years ago for a job promotion that included a much heavier workload. The first thing I “didn’t have time for” was working out. I struggled to find a routine that fit my busy and constantly changing schedule. I also lacked the discipline required to make a workout efficient and spent many long, useless hours in the gym. When my doctor told me that I was consistently gaining weight between visits, I knew something had to change. One day, I drove by Shred415 and thought that it was such a weird location for a paper shredding company. Later that day, when I found out what Shred415 actually was via some YouTube research, I was intrigued.
I was lucky enough to be at Shred415 Indy on its opening day, and I had Bonnie and Tracy as my instructors. During class, I knew that Shred415 was something special, I wanted to be a part of it. That day my ending warm up pace was a 5.0 and my fast pace was a 5.5. Since that first class, I have “reached my max” over and over, and I have started setting daily goals for myself. My ending warm up pace is now 7.0 and when I do pushes I am running at 11.0! I love the mile challenge so much that I actually look forward to every second Saturday of the month. It was exhilarating to recently set a new personal record of an 8:04 mile! I never thought it was possible for me to obtain anything under a 10-minute mile, and I credit the energy and focus in the room along with the motivation of great instructors.
I have noticed many positive changes in my body from taking Shred415 classes. I was able to lose 25 pounds and gain more muscle. Shred415 has helped my mind and body and has given me a sense of direction. My favorite hour of the day is the time I spend at Shred415, especially any hour taught by Kristine or Sharon.
