Overall, I am healthier now than I have ever been before, and I am approaching my high school graduation weight—120 pounds lighter than when I started this journey!
I started my fitness journey in April 2017. My first step was to change my diet, and right from the start, I also committed to exercising daily to help with my overall health, accelerate my weight loss and increase my fitness level. When my weight loss began slowing down in late June/early July, I knew I had to shake up my exercise routine in order to reach my goals. Enter Shred415. In early July 2017, Shred415 opened its newest location in Deerfield, and I signed up for my first visit during their Grand Opening week of free classes.
My first Shred415 class was super challenging; however, I was able to complete it using a combination of walking, jogging, and running. Not discouraged, I decided to join and signed up for a package that afforded me 8 classes each month. This package seemed to work best with my busy schedule, and I was optimistic that if I were to take 8 classes per month, I would be able to increase my strength and overall fitness.
I was right. Over the last 8 months, I have become stronger and my endurance is noticeably better. When I started taking Shred415 classes, my ending warm-up pace was 5.5 miles per hour (most of the time). Today, my ending warm-up pace is 6.6 miles per hour and you wouldn’t believe how fast I can run for a 1-minute push (9.5 miles per hour)!
Shred415 has become a routine. I’m an early bird so I typically attend classes at 5:00 or 6:30 a.m. I have “my” usual spot in the studio which provides the perfect angles for the mirrors.
At this point I’ve taken classes with most of the Instructors and their energy, enthusiasm, professionalism and knowledge have been awesome! They provide the workout, I do the work, and every time I leave feeling accomplished. I’m blown away by what I am able to achieve in the studio.
I recently changed my 8-pack monthly plan to an unlimited package because I’m a true believer in the workout and the results you get from increased Shredding. I feel great in my clothes and I love having them fit better, I see greater definition in my legs, arms and chest, and my waist is leaner. People who haven’t seen me in several months don’t even recognize me!
And the results are not just physical! I’ve increased my confidence, and I’ve never felt better. I have learned that doing the hard things in life often have the biggest rewards. While my weight loss and exercise routine have been difficult to maintain, the discipline has paid off. Shred415 is an incredible gift both mentally and physically!
I feel a tremendous sense of pride for being able to accomplish so much more than I thought possible. Thank you Shred415 for coming to Deerfield. I am a happier and healthier person and Shred415 Deerfield is an integral part of my awesome story!
