As we entered the second year of the pandemic, I started feeling discomfort in my body. My clothes didn’t fit me, I had no energy, and I just didn’t feel like myself. I decided it was finally time to take control of my health and begin my weight loss and fitness journey.I had been a yo-yo dieter my entire life and this was the first time I had changed my attitude about food and fitness. Since starting my journey in 2021, I have lost 97lbs (45 after joining Shred415) and decreased my body fat percentage from 51% to 16%. I feel stronger than I ever have and weigh less now at 52 years young than I did when I was 16!I love seeing the improvement I’ve made since starting my Shred415 journey at the end of August 2021. When I took my first class, I wasn’t able to run any of the drills. I loved that the environment was so welcoming, modifiable, and the instructors respected all fitness levels. But, I was determined to meet my lofty goals. With every class, I was able to gradually partake in more and more of the challenging intervals. Now, I can comfortably run at a pace that I would not have imagined years back. I also am proud that when instructors encourage us to use heavier weights, I can reach for them! I recently hit 200 classes and am so thankful to have found Shred415.Shred415 helped me break through some mental struggles that kept me from succeeding in the past. I’ve learned that anything can be achieved with hard work, consistency, discipline, and patience. More than the weight I have lost, I have gained self-confidence and have become someone who wants to do things instead of hiding and avoiding social situations.I love the Shred415 community and the instructors who push me to become the best version of myself. Everyone from the front desk to the instructors to the people taking class are amazing and continue to support and motivate me every day!
