I joined Shred in February 2022 and it’s by far the best fitness facility and community I’ve ever been a part of. The instructors are incredibly motivating, supportive, and positive, and at times have brought me close to tears. It’s the instructors and the class format that keep me coming back at least three times a week!
Starting in early 2022, I began the most challenging and rewarding health and fitness journey of my life. I was about to turn 40 and it hit me that I had some serious changes to make if I wanted to live into my 90s. Between that time and September 2023, I lost 100 pounds at Shred and the amazing instructors helped me to get there. I’ve maintained my loss thus far and am in awe that I now have muscles!
I could barely do a regular pushup or a tricep dip or run and now I get excited when the instructors call these exercises out or tell me that we’re about to do a 5 minute run! One of my favorite motivating phrases that some instructors will say is, “You can do hard things!” This is so true – we CAN do HARD things! I plan on being a Shred-lifer – maybe even into my 90s!
