In January 2020, the gym that I had been attending for two years closed. I wasn’t sure where I was going to go or what I was going to do but I knew I needed a new place to workout so that I could continue to work on myself and my health. My friend and Shred415 instructor Esther told me about Shred415 Sawmill and suggested I take a class. After the first two classes I was hooked and I signed up for a membership! A few months later, COVID struck. As a result, Shred415 had to temporarily close and we all had to depend on either livestream classes. I am not a person that does well working out on their own.During the rest of 2020, I put on weight and noticed issues with my knees and my stamina. Once we were able to get back into the studios and in January of 2021, I really kicked it into high gear and consistently went to Shred415 Sawmill and changed my eating habits. The weight starting coming off and I was getting so much stronger. I needed that contagious, in-person energy!Since January 2021, I have lost a total of 55 pounds! I have hit running milestones that I never thought I would reach – I ran my sixth and final full marathon in under five hours and consistently run 5K races in under 30 minutes. I am so proud where my endurance is at. As an added bonus, it feels pretty incredible to be the back down to the same size I was 18 years ago.I owe so much to Shred415 Sawmill and the community they have built. The owners, Chad and Katie, are so supportive and inspiring. They are always rooting for each of us and our goals! The instructors have now become good friends. Each time I go to Shred415, I feel at home. Joining Shred415 Sawmill was one of the best decisions that I have ever made for myself!
