
My weight loss journey began in 2002 when I saw a picture of myself that I didn’t even recognize – 280 pounds on the scale. From there, I altered my diet to focus on low-carb intake and dropped to the low 220s, which is where I thought I belonged. My weight then fluctuated from 220-240 for a while until I altered my diet, cutting out most sugars. After changing my diet, understanding what my body needed, and incorporating Shred into my life six days a week, I’m resting just under 185 pounds.
I was introduced to Shred in 2019. The “typical” gym workouts always seemed to interest me until I started at Shred415. I thought fitness classes were for everyone else, not me! But now, Shred has become my happy place and I cannot live without it! As of May 20, 2023, I Shredded my 900th class and there is no end in sight.
This place has changed me in so many ways. I always tell my friends, you don’t have to think, you just go to class and put in the time. I love the way the instructors create their own unique classes and customize their own playlists. The freedom and passion they possess creates a unique workout every time and ALL the instructors do such a great job.
Then there is the COMMUNITY, the ENERGY and the FEEL GOOD aspect that makes Shred415 unique. All of these things combined creates an atmosphere I can’t get enough of. I have experienced other gyms and workouts and never felt as challenged and exhilarated after walking out of each class as I do at Shred415.
I enjoy feeling like I am working out both for myself and with/for others. The energy I feel from others in the room motivates me to work harder. The other clients may not know this, but when I see them making the effort to show up, it makes me want to work harder. I just love it!
