From exercise lover to busy mother of four, read Amy Morrone’s inspiring story of hardship, family, and fitness.
“My fitness journey started at a very young age. As a competitive swimmer, fitness was always a part of my identity. Even after marrying my wonderful husband and getting pregnant with my beautiful twin daughters, staying active was necessary for my mental health and sanity. After my daughters were born, we quickly discovered that one of them was in kidney failure and would eventually need a transplant. Unfortunately, that also meant that fitness and I took a backseat. After receiving her donor kidney and unexpectedly giving birth to another set of twins, I was finally ready to focus on me again. A friend brought me to Shred, and instantly I felt whole again. The music, the people, the instructors (shoutout to my bestie, Serafina 🧡) all felt like a puzzle piece I had missed since my life had changed so dramatically.
“With each class, I grew stronger, and it felt as though I achieved something new, even on the days I had little motivation.
“I can’t even begin to express how thankful I am for this community for bringing me out of a dark place, reminding me that I can make time for myself, and showing me how strong I can be. I wouldn’t be where I am today without all of these amazing people who appreciate me and recognize my accomplishments. I can’t wait to see where Shred takes me next.”
We’re excited to cheer Amy on as she continues her Shred journey and discovers what’s next! 🥳
